Making a Moodboard and Planning Our Environment

Before I and my group decided to create anything relating to our themes, we needed to do some planning as we needed to know what we wanted to create for the environment piece and to help us plan we created a mood board and this would help us because it would allow us to collect images together which we could use as references when creating the environment and for our hero pieces also below there will be a link to the Pinterest mood board that we used to get all of the references for our environment.

Now, I am going to discuss what our themes are so firstly our main theme is a blacksmith which will be the location of where our environment will be set, and our sub-theme is feudal Japan/Edo period of Japan which is well known for Samurai’s and its unique architecture so when creating our environment, I will have to keep this in mind.

 Also, I and the rest of the group met up to discuss the story that we wanted to tell through our environment and we decided that an Oni demon had invaded the village where the blacksmith was and they pillaged it so the blacksmith would be left in ruins so due to this a lot of the weapons that were being made in blacksmith would be misplaced also there would be blood left of the floor these two things would show signs of a struggle between the owner of the blacksmith and the Oni demons that invaded the village.
