Main Character Sketches & Expanding on Ideas for Their Design

Initially, I wanted to give my main character armour; however, I realized this would be too complex for me to model and design in the time frame that I have, so I decided instead of giving them a more casual outfit to wear, such as them wearing a basic t-shirt, jeans and possibly a jacket and due to them having a weapon of some kind was thinking of a sword and in the back of the coat there could be something that holds that weapon in place. When they do use it, they draw it from their back.

So, I decided to do a quick sketch based on this idea. For the potential colour scheme, I was thinking of a white outfit with gold accents on it and how the main character would attach their weapon to their back, there would be a holder in their outfit so it can just slot into place.
