Potential Accessories for The Main Character & Design

Before, I mentioned giving my main character a sword as a weapon, however, I never decided on what type of sword it should be, so I decided to experiment with drawing different types of weapons such as Katana, Longsword etc. Also, I decided to draw some designs for some shields as if they have a weapon. Naturally, they will need a way to protect themselves and block attacks, and I drew a Sai as well.

Weapon Sketches

Firstly, as mentioned earlier I drew a Katana, and the reason for this is that when I think of swords personally, I think of a katana. For the potential colour scheme for it, I wanted to make it stand out compared to standard weapons, so I thought of giving it a dark red colour, so it stands out and maybe some white accents on it.

Secondly, I drew a longsword as I felt this type of sword could work well as a weapon for my character and the colour scheme, I would go with the same as the katana would have and lastly, I drew a Sai. I thought giving a sword seemed a bit generic so I wanted to try to come out with something different and the colour scheme around the handle it could be white with red lines wrapping around it.

Shield Sketches & Mockups

As mentioned earlier, I made some designs for some shields I decided to draw simple patterns on them as when doing research I noticed a lot of shields tended to have patterns on them that were made up of shapes and for the colour scheme that I would want these shields to have is that would be white and gold as I was considering using that in parts of the main character’s design and wanted it to match the main character so it makes it looks like it belongs to them.

Also, I decided to make some mock-ups in Photoshop to see what these shields would look like with colour. This potentially could be used for textures if the shields were 3d modelled or just used base for what those textures should be like.
